As a lawyer she was a committed member of the NBA and was in practice for many years until her death. As a mother and wife, she was married until death to a Past President of the NBA, Joseph B. Daudu SAN. The marriage was blessed with six (6) wonderful children two of whom are lawyers. Her first son, Mr. Paul Daudu was the Chairman of NBA Young Lawyers Forum (2012-2014)

The leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association wishes to emphasise that lobbying or any form of promotional activity in the media including social media for or on behalf any candidates being considered for nomination for judicial appointment is strictly prohibited. Any such conduct will be treated as professional misconduct.
With respect to Regulation, it appears clear that the regulatory architecture of the legal profession is out of date and out of sync with modern day Nigerian realities and indeed the size and complexity of the legal profession today. We must interrogate this and build a consensus on the direction to go. We need more rigorous and effective framework for establishing professional and ethical standards, reigning in erring unethical lawyers and rebuilding confidence in the legal profession.

The President of the NBA stated clearly that the Association identifies with the fight against corruption being led by the President Muhamadu Buhari administration. The NBA is determined to continue the fight against corruption by strengthening its institutions. He made it known that the several reforms that have taken place in the Legal profession especially the passing into law of the ACJA and other reforms will be supported by this administration of the NBA. Mr Mahmoud emphatically stated that “the NBA will be the strongest defender of the Judiciary when necessary and also its greatest critcs when the judiciary is found wanting”.
